July 6, 2012: The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) announces routine maintenance activities planned for the week of July 9 in Dawson, Forsyth and Hall counties.
Most activities will only require shoulder or median lane closures. An intermittent single lane closure and/or flagman will be utilized for asphalt patching. This is a tentative schedule; if emergency response is needed at a crash scene or if emergency repairs are necessary this schedule will change.
WHEN: Daily Monday, July 9 through Friday, July 13 with work hours for mowing from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. if weather permits.
WHAT and WHERE:
Dawson Vegetation maintenance and repairs to drainage ditches on SR 400 and on SR 9
Forsyth Storm drain repair and asphalt patching on SR 400 (intermittent single lane closure required) and vegetation maintenance
Hall Mowing on SR 332 Drainage ditch repairs on SR 52
Motorists should reduce their speed in these and all work zones.
