In Forsyth County at Sawnee Mountain Park, UFA is hosting two referee recertification classes for year 2012 taught by certified instructors from GA Soccer. You need only attend one so pick the one that works best for your schedule. These recertification classes are for R9 and R8 referees to re-certify for 2012. We are also hosting a referee upgrade class at Sawnee Mountain Park taught by certified instructors from GA Soccer. This is specifically for a 'Blue Badge' (R9) referee who is ready to upgrade or 'bridge' to 'Black Badge' (R8). Anyone who passes this course will receive a 'Black Badge' for 2012. This course consists of two sessions:

1. The first session which must be completed before attending the 8/27 session is self directed and web based.

2. The second session will be with live instructors at Sawnee Mountain Park on Saturday, 8/27. Click on the link below to learn more about the class and to register through the state website.

Saturday, 8/27-9am-4pm at Sawnee Mountain Park

In Dawson County at Rock Creek Park, UFA is also hosting an Entry Level referee class taught by certified instructors from GA Soccer. This is for anyone who would like to get started as a referee or learn more about the soccer rules or laws. You are required to attend both sessions and pass a written test. Anyone passing this course will receive a 'Blue Badge' and be certified as a R9 referee through 2012. Click on the link below to learn more about the class and register through the state website.
